- cheeserfwiw, the bot had some network connection issue. it's supposed to be able to detect and handle those but that code has always been flaky and I've just never really taken the time to dig in to it.
- cheeseri've turned claude loose on it, though, and have a whole check list of things to address tracked in a file in the source repo for anyone interested in following along.
- jreichernimaje: I don't see a reason to use certfp. non-cert SASL is enough.
- jreicherCerts, generally speaking, are a pain.
- jreicherNeXeN: I think you mean authentication with nickserv? What I said about REGAIN still applies there, I think. I don't see why that would fail.
- NeXeNjreicher: yeah i am not sure of the sequence of events
- jreicherCould you find out and then come back to congratulate on for being right? I only participate in these conversations for personal validation.
- NeXeNi doubt i can find out, but i will admit defeat
- NeXeNjust for the asking
- jreicherYou know I was joking, right? :)
- NeXeNthat's why i had to go with it, incase someone else didn't
- NeXeNyou know, improv a little
- jreicherDammit. You totally out-deadpanned me.
- NeXeNwell it's irc...you know....it's sort of the only way to delivery a line
- pr070calhi i have an ArrayList of object arrays and in the object array is 6 elements
- pr070calif i do arrlist.get(i) it returns the object array
- pr070calhow to i reference to element [0]
- pr070cali tried (arrlist.get(i))[0]
- pr070calbut it didnt work
- nimajecan you share a small example and the error you got?
- fizzieSeems fine to me: https://ideone.com/v0yCI1
- pr070calhttps://www.irccloud.com/pastebin/RWHLRvsI/
- nevetSnippet | IRCCloud
- pr070calif(ArrayObj.getString("symbol").toString().equals(arrlist.get(i)[0])&&root!=null)
- fizzieThen it's probably an ArrayList<Object> that just happens to contain an Object[].
- fizzieWhich means you'd have to cast it first, though it's a pretty terrible situation to be in the first place: https://ideone.com/gO59Fs
- pr070calok that worked thanks
- NeXeNwhen you use Object[] arrays to store multi-element record, you bypass compile-time safety. a dedicated domain class would avoid the brittle numeric indices (and unifies validation)
