- jreicher21 matches
- nevetA new game of 21 Matches begins! There are 21 matches on the table. Take 1, 2, or 3 matches each turn. Whoever is forced to take the last match loses. Use '21 take <1-3>' to play.
- jreicher2
- jreicher21 take 2
- nevetA calculated risk. With the patience of stone, I take 2. There are 17 matches remaining.
- jreicher21 take 1
- nevetNoted. Decisively, I take 3. There are 13 matches remaining.
- jreicher21 take 1
- nevetNoted. With surgical precision, I take 3. There are 9 matches remaining.
- jreicher21 take 2
- nevetYou surprise me. With great confidence, I take 2. There are 5 matches remaining.
- jreicher:)
- jreicher21 take 1
- nevetI see what you're doing there. I am very, very smart, I take 3. One match remains, and it has your name on it. Well played, though.

- nevetYou surprise me. As if this were already decided, I take 3. There are 5 matches remaining.
- jreicher:)
- jreicher21 take 3
- nevetI see jreicher picked 3. I'd expected 2. With practiced ease, I take 1. And that means the last match is yours. Victory is mine!

- nevetI see what you're doing there. After much deliberation, I take 2. There are 5 matches remaining.
- jreicher21 take 3
- nevetA classic move. Without a hint of doubt, I take 1. That leaves you with the last match - I win! Better luck next time.
- jreicherCute
- jreicherThat was fun
- jreicherdreamreal: you should let the human start. And give nevet the ability to take advantage of a mistake (it may already have that)
- dreamrealjreicher: How does the human NOT start?
- dreamrealIn that game, the bot can't lose.
- dreamrealThere's not even flavor text for it to lose. :D
- dreamrealjreicher: hmm, you mean have the human INITIATE a game without the initial trigger, I guess?

- nevetNevet - Reference UI
- dreamrealDoes that url work for you?
- jreicherWhat do you mean by "work"? Do you mean does it display correctly in my IRC client?
- jreicherOr that I can follow it?
- dreamrealWell, if your IRC client renders, yeah; does it display properly? Does it open properly in a browser?
- bot[jottinger/bytecode.news] New issue #231: Add advisory header-based API version contract (Accept-Version / Content-Version) - https://github.com/jottinger/bytecode.news/issues/231
- jreicherMy IRC client will just pop up a browser when I click on the link, and that works. The page itself has a small issue though; the comments section is spinning.
- dreamrealYeah, known issue in that client, it's an MDE thing. This is the "reference UI" and isn't meant to survive long.
- dreamrealThere are no comments so it's just gonna stay there.
- bot[jottinger/bytecode.news] New issue #232: reference-ui: comment section spinner never clears on posts with zero comments - https://github.com/jottinger/bytecode.news/issues/232
- dreamrealthe reference UI is actually pretty low priority in terms of features and bugs: where things matter there is in figuring out exposure of features, and whether they work or not
- jreicherAh, the good old "no data" edge case
- dreamrealso I'm fine with "it looks like a dog puked it up" as long as it exercises the API well enough to know if the API is broken or incomplete
- dreamrealI *do* want it to work, because the acceptance criteria for a real UI is whether the reference UI does something another UI does not
- dreamrealAh ha! I think I found it. Working on it. Also going to take care of #231.
- dreamrealor, well, START to take care of #231 - we have no versioned endpoints, we just want to anticipate them
- bot[jottinger/bytecode.news] New PR #233: spinner and API versioning - https://github.com/jottinger/bytecode.news/pull/233
