  4. bluephaleth: the cert for repopack.com is dead...
  5. phalethoh, you noticed :D
  6. phalethit should be alright again now
  7. bluecool
  8. bluewhy do we get those cert downtimes?
  9. phalethit was just me converting it to wildcard cert with longer lifetime, but I didn't realize the acme client won't do anything automatically if I just delete previous cert
  10. phalethso I had to trigger the renewal manually and that took me about a minute

  17. bluephaleth: alright
  18. phalethclanker got thrown off the rails and crashed, now it cannot get back the steam
  19. phalethloosing steam happens to people too
  20. bluehow do you mean?
  21. phalethwas just thinking clanker would run out of batteries
  22. phalethor in other words the clankering limit is gone for the time period
  23. blueI'm at 13%, so being careful
  24. phalethheh
  25. phalethI know why you upgraded the VPS, it has higher interwebz bandwidth so clanker has to wait less
  26. blueI upgaded the VPs mostly because it was on sale :P
  27. bluethe clanker is due to be kicked off the vps as soon as `rps` is done
  28. phalethoh, btw about #392, I'd highly recommend not to do any new cli, but instead develop an API service
  29. phalethbut that's prolly on hold for now
  30. blueapi service is good, but still need a client to use it
  31. phalethcurl and jq are good enough
  32. blueya but if I wanna control a repopack server, I don't want to start looking up curl syntax / jq
  33. blueI just wanna do `rps node list` or so
  34. phalethwell the thing is that service orchestation is not a tabular problem, so CLI won't be good enough, it'll need something more interactive
  35. bluehow do you mean?
  36. bluephaleth: we probably need a blog.repopack.com or repopack.com/blog
  37. bluewhere we can announce, flog, dog & cit. I'm also going to probably move the copyright of primate and rcompat to repopack
  38. phalethyeah, and docs.repopack.com
  39. phalethworking on that currently, using curl and jq
  40. bluek
  41. bluephaleth: can we possibly configure a status service that informs us when a cert has less than a day left?
  42. blueI mean, we need status.repopack.com anyway; but I mean something that will inform us when the cert renewal mechanism might not be working
  43. phaleththe cert I replaced today still had about 6 days of validity and actually it was a 6 day cert which autorenewed this morning
  44. phalethbut yeah, part of the monitoring should be and will be acme status, that's for sure
  45. phalethwe're just not having any 6 days certs anymore and the acme client only failed once on the only 6 day cert we had so far
  46. bluek
  47. bluephaleth: could you please map docs.repopack.com to repopack-docs-prod.repopack.app ?
  48. blueI want to start working on schema descriptions
  49. bluesince that's an impotant foundation for the future
  50. phalethyeah, sure thing
  51. bluethanks

  61. blueI'll look at it
  62. phalethI think so, not sure if I need the repopack repo for that
  63. phalethdon't have that locally on this lappy
  64. blueI can do it myself, is good
  65. phalethI can pass in --project flag it seems, one sec
