The NetBeans IDE has been updated: NetBeans 30 has been released. This is a regular quarterly update, and contains some useful enhancements including upgrades to some Java 26 features (and features for other languages too!), updates to support for Glassfish 7.1.0 and 8.0.0, as well as some updates for display on high definition monitors, but probably isn't considered a major upgrade unless those updates directly touch your specific issues.
With that said, though, NetBeans was and remains one of the major Java IDEs, and the NetBeans client platform is surprisingly strong. In terms of public perception, it's the least common of the "big three" IDEs, competing with IDEA and Eclipse, but public perception can easily be misleading; it'd be interesting to see the actual numbers across the industry, as opposed to the numbers from people who mention which IDE they use, or even from the people who respond to such surveys.
