Testcontainers, a project that uses OCI to provide, well, containers for testing for modules, has a reuse feature that lets a multi-module Maven build share one Postgres container across all test JVMs. This requires creating a separate database per JVM to maintain isolation and avoid migration conflicts.
Github user asmo0dey has created an application that provides live audience polling for slidev presentations, using docker, Spring, vue, and either PostgreSQL or H2. It's got a lot of benefit for presentations, of course, but it also looks designed well.
pg_6502 is a fully functional MOS 6502 emulator running in pure PostgreSQL - registers, memory, and all 151 opcodes implemented as stored procedures. It passes functional test suites. Could you load a Commodore 64 ROM into it? Probably. Should you? That's not our call. But someone's going to port DOOM into PostgreSQL eventually, and this is how it starts. Has anyone seen SkyNet around?
